Meet my new painting Happy Pill II. This whimsical pill is the second of two paintings I was very excited to create for the new group show 'RX' hosted by Quirky Fox to celebrate their 12th anniversary. Vicky is the owner of Quirky Fox, and she wanted to celebrate the building's history as it was originally a pharmacy. I thought honouring the past was a really lovely idea and so a shiny, eccentric, blue pill spring to mind. It was also a chance to try something different from my usual style. I hope you like it and perhaps if you have time you'll check out the show in the link above.

The piece is beautifully framed in red by Vicky. I love how the red makes the pill pop (no pun intended) especially because it is float mounted. It's a great framing effect which really lets the pill stand out in the frame. I love it.
